The pictures reproduced on this page represent a small part of Vain's artistic legacy. Some of them are from Marjeta Smolnik's private collection, the rest were found in the archives of the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. Unfortunately, Vain destroyed all of his major works (oil and watercolour paintings), so we were able to retrieve only sketches and small drawings. All of his early works were destroyed on February 2nd 1991 by Vain himself.
His schoolmates claim he was a big admirer of Egon Schiele.
